
Technical Requirements:
- Choose your mission UI screen
- A UI Screen that appears on the combat screen to show two to three missions to choose between.
- Side objective assigned based on mission
- Side objective spawns randomly in the level
- Debrief section
- Animation plays of escape pod flying to the planet on the main screen
- Introduction to the mission plays on the datapad screen
- Mission prep Section
- UI screen that appears on the main screen that allows selecting of units to players squad
- Should allow distributing of abilities
- Can also allow distributing of Oxygen
- Once prepped, animation plays of escape pod landing and squad leaving pod
- When player reaches objective they are locked in and can no longer move. When they are selected it focuses on Datapad. Any actions made in the story consume their AP
- Once complete if NPC has joined they join the player squad and are selectable and movable
- Must have their own health and AP. They act as units to move to the escape pod
- They should have one unique ability assigned
- Once all units reach the pod and have escaped, animation plays of escape pod leaving and entering atmosphere.
- Debrief section starts/End of story shows of the resolution of the quest on the Datapad while animation plays on the main screen.
- Once resolved a UI screen shows a summary of the mission. Should convey:
- Enemies killed
- Side objective completed
- NPC rescued
- Characters current state of health and oxygen
- Characters newly gained traits
- Meta resources gathered
- loops to next choose your mission screen
- Stories need to be chunked into parts so we can tell the delivery system when and where to show each part of the narrative
