Intro & Debrief:

Cardinal: Apologies for the short notice on this mission, Commander. Fortunately for us, an opportunity has arisen to get our boots on the ground.

TS-18 Omega; An extra-solar quantum planet. One of many, but this one just leapt from it’s initial orbit of Earths Heliosphere and landed right next to us.

Our forward operational bases have all gone dark but we have found traces of a few survivors.

Key among them is engineer Bartholomew Burns, otherwise goes by “Bubs” by his peers, found scrap-scrounging amongst the corps. Grease Monkeys.

An ex-sergeant of our militaries’ finest, disgracefully discharged for failing to uphold orders from his superiors.

Despite his desperate affiliations, right now the corp. could use someone of his skills. Especially with Humanities Last Fleet on the line.

As soon as you land make your way to his last known location and bag the target. It won’t be easy, however.

God only knows what the isolation and this planets atmosphere has done to his mind over time. Be on your guard.

Humanitatis exsilium ad astra. Good Luck.

Tutorial Storylet 1

Tutorial Scientist: Landing could have gone smoother, but you made it in one piece.

As this is your first “real” mission, and it seems you have come unprepared, the board has deemed you fit for an “introductory training session mandated by the U.N.F.M”… or so it says in my instructors leaflet…

Would you like to participate?

Player selects Yes

(sighs) Wonderful…

It looks like the forward operating bases of this region are all long defunct, meaning we should start there to get the planetary communication arrays up and running again to locate your objective.

But for starters, it would probably help if you got your bearings of the planet. For that we will need your Quantizationally Aligned Retinal Kalibrator, or Q.A.R.K for short.

I’ll explain once we have collected them, but nearby there should be an inactive quantum terraforming unit, it should look like this.

Click one of your units and tell them to interact with the terraformer, they should know what to do.
